Innovative online construction products and DIY retailer CMOStores.com has announced that Jonathan Lamb is joining the board of the company as chief financial officer (CFO).

Jonathan has taken over the reins following Sue Packer’s promotion to managing director of the industry disruptor, and is well-positioned to help steer the company through its next phase of sustained growth. Having joined the business during 2020, Jonathan played a fundamental role in the CMOStores group’s recent acquisition of Total Tiles and will be a driving force for growth, including in helping to enact CMOStores’ acquisition strategy.

Further strengthening the company’s position as the UK’s leading online building and DIY products retailer, Jonathan brings a wealth of e-commerce and retail experience to the role. He previously worked with e-commerce womenswear retailer Yumi, and with luxury luggage brand Antler, and is set to apply the retail-focused financial strategies gained through this experience to his new role with CMO.

Commenting on his role, Jonathan said:

“CMOStores.com is a proven leader in its category, and I am proud to have already started the work of expanding and consolidating the company for the future with the acquisition of Total Tiles.”

“CMO has already demonstrated the advantages a focused e-commerce offering can deliver within what is still quite a traditional sector, and I am confident that the company will continue to grow and develop thanks to the leadership of the board, and the robust growth and acquisition strategy that we have in place.”

Sue Packer welcomed Jonathan to the team, saying:

“Having worked closely with Jonathan on the Total Tiles transaction, as well as seeing the systems he is putting in place to support the growth of the business, I am certain that CMOStores.com and its associated brands are well-placed to secure another year of excellent sales and post strong financial results.”
