Here at CMOStores.com weʼre raising £30,000 to help us plant 5,000 trees! We’ve committed to reducing our carbon footprint and create green urban spaces with Trees for Cities.
‘CMGrow’ is our charitable and environmental initiative to help us realise our initial target of reducing our own carbon footprint and improving air quality by planting 5,000 trees – around two acres – within two years. That’s enough to create enough oxygen for each of our employees, plus a lot more!*
We need to raise £30,000 to hit this first goal so our CMO team will undertake a series of fundraising challenges throughout the year with the aim of beginning to plant trees during the 2021/22 planting season. To help us do this right, we are proud to have officially partnered with national charity Trees for Cities.
“As a business, we’re increasingly conscious of the impact we have on the natural world around us, and we feel we have a duty to play our part in taking care of our planet. We were searching for a way to take a hands-on approach to this challenge – and Trees for Cities gives us the opportunity to do just that.”
Sue Packer, managing director CMOStores.com
“Creating more green spaces in the UK’s towns and cities not only makes people healthier and happier, but it also has a massive impact on the environment by improving air quality, mitigating global warming effects and increasing biodiversity by hosting thousands of species and subspecies in the harshest environments.”
“The more trees we plant, the greener our towns and cities become, so we’re delighted to have corporate partners like CMO on board and we’re looking forward to supporting the company with its ambitious goal of planting 5,000 trees.”

Who are Trees for Cities?
Trees for Cities are an independent charity set up in 1993 (charity number: 1032154). They are the only UK charity working at a national and international level to improve lives by creating greener cities.
Their work focuses on areas of social and environmental deprivation, bringing together local communities to work on practical greening and educational projects in urban spaces.
We all need to act now
We’re experiencing warmer, wetter winters, and hotter, drier summers, creating higher temperatures in our cities. Climate change has caused an increase in pests and disease, which had never previously affected the UK. The impact has been an unprecedented threat to some iconic tree species, including ash, horse chestnut and oak.
By planting thousands of urban trees worldwide each year, Trees for Cities is building resilience against threats facing the natural environment. Planting a range of tree species enhances structural and functional diversity in woodlands and on city streets, as well as building resistance to pests and disease.
